Christchurch Tour 2023 Details

Travel on a quality touring coach, transport to and from your door, three nights’ accommodation, evening meals, cooked breakfasts, and organised

Day 1 – Wednesday 26^th April: Nelson – Christchurch

All aboard the Leisure Travel coach for the start of your four-day tour in Christchurch! In Merivale, you will have the evening to settle in at the Pavilions Hotel in Melivale. The hotel boasts a range of facilities including a gym, spa, sauna, outdoor swimming pool, and ‘Jimmy’s Restaurant & Bar’ on-site for meals and beverages. As a bonus, every room in the hotel has reverse cycle air-conditioning to beat the heat. Evening meal tonight will be in Hotel

Day 2 – Thursday 27^th April: Christchurch

In the township Kaiapoi, you will be invited to board the Kaiaipoi‘River Queen’, a two-storey riverboat with polished wooden floors and walls painted cream white and dark green. On board, the vessel has a fully-stocked bar, café, and kitchen which will cater for your lunch. Lounge in the seating on the upper deck and enjoy the sun while you cruise along the Kaiaipoi river with ample opportunity for photography. Once the day has ended, a meal will be prepared for you at the hotel.

Day 3 – Friday 28^th April: Christchurch

Built on land that was once an air base, The Air Force Museum of New Zealand contains the national collection of the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF). Items and photos from early years of military aviation are available to view in addition to thirteen impressive models of aircraft. After an excursion to the museum, you will have the afternoon free to visit family and friends or have a look around the shops, and then dine on the Christchurch Tramway Restaurant for an evening while enjoying the sights of the city.

Day 4 – Saturday 29^th April: Christchurch – Nelson

On the road again — this time, bound for home. After packing up your belongings and souvenirs, everyone will board the coach for a return trip to Nelson with plenty of idyllic landscapes to admire on the way.

If you have mobility issues that may concern you regarding getting on and off the coach please give us a call and we can discuss this. Please advise us of any special dietary needs. Door-to-door transport may not be available if you live out of the nearby Nelson region. The tour is subject to minimum numbers.
