Christmas Tour 2023 Details

Travel on a quality touring coach, transport to and from your door, five-night’s accommodation, evening meals and cooked breakfasts, Christmas lunch, Steampunk HQ & Sightseeing.

Day 1 – Sat 23^rd Dec, Nelson – Ashburton
Today we begin our Christmas Tour after picking you up from your door. We will head south via the Lewis Pass to Ashburton stopping somewhere to have some lunch. After lunch we will continue to Ashburton where we will be staying at Hotel Ashburton for the night. The evening meal will be in the Hotel.

Day 2 – Sun 24^th Dec, Ashburton – Dunedin
This morning will be up and away heading to Dunedin where you will have Christmas. There will be a quick stop at the Forks Hotel for you to be told the story behind Ted’s Bottle of beer which has been in the hotel since 1939. We will be checking into the Scenic Hotel for the next two nights so you may have time to catch up with family and friends.

Day 3 – Mon 25^th Dec, Dunedin
This is where you will be having Christmas day to rest and take in the beautiful scenery with David of the area before having a lovely traditional Christmas lunch in the hotel. After lunch you will have time to rest or go for a walk to make room for an Evening meal.

Day 4 – Tue 26^th Dec, Dunedin – Methven
We will travel from Dunedin to Methven. You will be visiting the Steampunk HQ in Oamaru on the way which you will find interesting. Don’t forget about the Hot Pools in Methven. You should get time on your arrival to get a quick swim in. Tonight, we will be staying at the Methven Resort Hotel.  Evening meal will be in the Resort.

Day 5 – Wed 27^th Dec, Methven – Christchurch
We will be heading to Christchurch via Mount Hutt. This will be some different scenery for you to enjoy. You should have time to visit family and friends in the afternoon or go and do something you wish to (maybe shoe shopping for those who know me).

Day 6 – Thu 28^th Dec, Christchurch – Nelson
We will be travelling via the East Coast back to Nelson.

If you have mobility issues that may concern you regarding getting on and off the coach please give us a call and we can discuss this. Please advise us of any special dietary needs. Door-to-door transport may not be available if you live out of the nearby Nelson region. The tour is subject to minimum numbers.
